9 Things Bow in East London has to offer residents

East London has been up and coming for some time. However, Bow – formerly known as Stratford – has a lot more to offer than your average hipster hangout. Apart from anything else this part of London has a great sense of place and is infused with the capital’s history, from a name that refers to it being part of one of the first paved Roman roads in Britain, to the role that Bow played in the 2012 Olympics. If you’re looking for an area with heart and history – and lots more besides – then Bow is a great location to consider.

Reasons to move to Bow


  1. Transport Bow is very well connected thanks to its prime spot in London’s East End. You’ll find stations for the Circle, District & Hammersmith & City line, the Central Line and the DLR here, as well as numerous bus routes in and out of the city.

  2. You don’t have to take transport if you don’t enjoy public transport for your daily commute then Bow could be the perfect location to live, as it’s within walking distance of the City.

  6. Local amenities are exciting Bow has experienced significant regeneration in recent years, in part thanks to the London Olympic Village that is located within the E3 postcode. As a result this area is where you’ll find many exciting new restaurants and great coffee shops and boutiques.

  7. There’s plenty of nightlife for those not looking for a family lifestyle, new bars and pubs are always opening to compliment the great range of establishments already here.

  8. There’s green space nearby in fact Hackney Marshes is close by and Victoria Park is just a short drive away.

  9. Bow is building a communitythanks to the new development and the improvement in the standards of local schools, people tend to move to Bow to stay here. It is well known for being a community and one where residents tend to want to remain.
