The annual Housebuilder Awards are some of the most prestigious in the property sector as they are awarded by the industry, to the industry. This year, we’re delighted to announce that Higgins Homes is a finalist in the Best Marketing Initiative category. We have won a number of awards over the years, from Best Regeneration Project at the London Evening Standard New Homes awards, to Best International Developer at the International Property Awards. Higgins Construction is also an award-winning brand, with awards for both function and aesthetics including Best Design at the National Housing Awards.
The UK’s Housebuilder Awards recognise innovation and excellence within the industry and are now in their 13th year. Our Clissold Quarter development marketing initiative has put us on the short list for this award thanks to our virtual reality show home. This feature has been incredibly popular with customers as it taps into the need that all of us have to visualise a potential property to purchase, with customisable options. The Housebuilder Awards are designed to highlight tangible demonstrations of housebuilding excellence and creativity that is pushing the boundaries of the property sector – we think the virtual reality show home exactly fits the brief.
We are particularly proud to be in the running for the Best Marketing Initiative, as our innovative virtual reality show home for Clissold Quarter is a bold and creative step. In designing it we hoped to offer a new and easily adoptable alternative to viewing bricks and mortar show homes to attract a broader range of potential buyers and to offer a new and pioneering approach for the industry. The Best Marketing Initiative category looks for creative and cutting edge initiatives that bring new perspective to the property industry. Higgins Homes is one of four businesses nominated.
Using virtual reality headsets potential buyers can experience a fully immersive walk through of a show home at Clissold Quarter from the comfort of our Stoke Newington sales and marketing suite. This is the first time that a UK developer has harnessed the power of virtual reality and, according to Jeremy Marcus, our sales and marketing director, “the feedback from the public has been fantastic.” Using high quality software we’ve been able to design a highly credible virtual walk through, including the opportunity for interaction such as changing the colour of walls or units. It’s a unique experience with a lot of (perhaps even award winning) potential.
The Housebuilder Awards 2017 take place on Thursday 2nd November at the InterContinental London - The O2. You can find more about it here.
