Higgins Homes launches show homes at Clissold Quarter in Stoke Newington

Posted: 14 October 2016 by Higgins Homes

Higgins Homes has unveiled the show apartments at its latest development, Clissold Quarter in Stoke Newington, London N4.

The developer was one of the first in the country to use virtual reality headsets to let potential buyers view the apartments well before they had been built, so now visitors have a chance to see how the technology measured up to the real thing.

Higgins Homes has launched both a one-and two-bedroom show apartment which are now available for viewings, showcasing the developer’s characteristic light-filled and open living spaces. Griffin House Interiors was appointed to design the interiors, and has created stylish, contemporary rooms with a ‘stokey’ twist to reflect the location.

Spacious bedrooms, large kitchen-diner areas and balconies providing a wealth of outside space are on display in both show homes, as well as genuine architectural intrigue. The character and proportions of these buildings have been carefully designed to respond to the rich Victorian architecture which surrounds Clissold Quarter.

Each building is crafted of high quality brick work, with balconies and entrances detailed in bronze-coloured metal cladding and warm timber work: robust materials which will age gracefully, blending into their surroundings.

Care has been taken over the detail: a green roof provides environmentally friendly heat insulation; cladding and thermal insulation to the lower apartments will ensure these remain comfortable and cosy throughout the year, and generous lobbies and dual aspect living spaces will create an impression of space and light throughout.

“We are delighted to launch these fantastic new show homes at Clissold Quarter. They are an embodiment of our commitment to creating top quality housing in London at an affordable price. A variety of accommodation styles and sizes are available so the development is family friendly as well as welcoming to the single, first time buyer” said Higgins Homes sales and marketing director Jeremy Marcus.

Clissold Quarter is situated in a sought after north London location, overlooking Clissold Park, popular with families as well as young professionals. Arsenal and Manor House stations on the Piccadilly line and Stoke Newington station on the London Overground are within walking distance, while buses travel from outside the development into the city centre.

The scheme has proved extremely popular with buyers after launching in the summer thanks to being part of the government’s Help to Buy initiative, with many of the 158 apartments on offer already sold.

Jeremy Marcus added: “Units at the development are selling rapidly, with in excess of 50% of the apartments sold, so I strongly advise getting viewings in sooner rather than later to avoid missing out on your dream home.”

Clissold Quarter is an innovative partnership with Hackney Council, whereby the sale of the private units will fund a substantial number of additional council homes for social rent and shared ownership, as part of the regeneration of the Kings Crescent Estate. Existing homes on the estate will also be refurbished, and will feature new balconies and winter gardens.

Prices for a one bedroom unit start at £480,000 and two bedrooms from £620,000. Three bedroom flats, duplexes and penthouses are also available. To find out more please visit:  www.clissold-quarter.com or call 020 8498 6509.
