Higgins Homes’ newest development, Clissold Quarter in Stoke Newington, London N4, is now offering its one and two bedroom apartments as part of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme. Those opting in to the scheme will therefore need just a 5% deposit to buy a new Higgins Homes property in London and a mortgage of only 55% of the value of the new home.
Sales have been strong at the development since it launched in the summer with over a third of the site already sold off plan. The Clissold Quarter show apartment is due to open at the end of September; however Higgins Homes has been offering potential buyers a virtual tour within the Clissold Quarter marketing suite using state-of-the-art virtual reality technology to view the apartment.
Jeremy Marcus, sales and marketing director, Higgins Homes, commented: “With the introduction of the Help to Buy initiative, more buyers will be able to afford their dream London home, at a time when house prices in the capital are at an all-time high. Sales at Clissold Quarter are already looking extremely encouraging, and we fully expect the new scheme to generate further interest in the stylish and affordable apartments we have on offer.”
The development sits in a fantastic position, on Clissold Park, overlooking the 54 acres of beautiful parkland with easy access to its facilities which include a butterfly dome, summer paddling pool, tennis pavilion and organic market garden. Clissold House, the handsome Grade II Listed former private villa which sits in the centre of the park, now acts as a café and function rooms.
The development also benefits from excellent transport links; it is within walking distance of Arsenal and Manor House stations on the Piccadilly line and Stoke Newington station on the London Overground. Buses 141, 341 and 393 stop directly outside the development and take you in to central London.
Inside every home the interiors are high quality, durable and contemporary, with finishes from a stable of well-respected industry suppliers and designers. Highlights include high gloss kitchens with integrated appliances and hotel-style bathrooms.
Clissold Quarter is an innovative partnership with Hackney Council, whereby the sale of the private units will fund a substantial number of additional council homes for social rent and shared ownership, as part of the regeneration of the Kings Crescent Estate. Existing homes on the estate will also be refurbished, and will feature new balconies and winter gardens.
