The development is tucked away but it’s close to different tube stations and Liverpool Street, Shoreditch, Broadway Market and Hackney aren’t that far away, they’re nice places to go for food and drinks. It’s still very easy to get to central London and going forward there will be Cross Rail opening up at Whitechapel so that will be handy. I do like walking so I really like the fact it’s quite simple to walk to lots of places from here. The development is still in progress but there are plans to include a roof terrace and from the pictures I’ve seen, this will look amazing with great views. It’s a feature that I’ve not seen at many other developments.

I’d heard negative stories from people who were buying from other developers, where the properties were delivered very late and things didn’t work but as I was kept up to date about my completion date, I knew when my flat would be ready. It’s such a nice flat, all very modern with plenty of light and everything works well. I’ve got everything I wanted, my home feels very safe and the balcony is lovely. I really like the underfloor heating which I think is a bit unusual in the UK. Because of the way it’s been designed I also think I’ll save lots of money in terms of energy.

The team here was great and the company was very accommodating for first time buyers who can struggle to get the money together to afford their first home. The support they gave with stamp duty and legal fees was excellent and I was also able to use Help to Buy. Living nearby was great as it meant I could pop in and see how things were going. If I had any questions the team was good at getting back to me and keeping me up to date when I wanted an idea of when the flat would be ready. Building work is still ongoing so if I do have any problems or snagging people are on site and they’ve been pretty flexible in terms of being able to fix things – it can even be on the same day. The site managers are very nice and personable and for what is essentially a building site, there’s very little disturbance.
I’d definitely recommend Higgins Homes...
...because I’ve got a new, modern home that I’m very happy with and the way the team has looked after me throughout the entire experience has been great.
